Software Test Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Support the development of Web-based rapid prototypes, decision support, and analytic tools using testing methodologies. Perform exploratory scripted permissions and acceptance testing and interact with team members in a collaborative environment on a regular basis. Research and apply the latest testing techniques and map module functionality to client requirements. Be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated and learn a variety of test and reporting applications that will be used to accomplish daily tasks. Provide technical writing support by authoring documents, including user guides, software test cases, and software test plans. Coordinate test sessions and perform tests against development, staging, and production environments. Coordinate with the development team to track defects to closure and communicate test status to internal team and stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with software engineering concepts and the software development life cycle

-1+ years of experience with writing automated tests and testing infrastructure
-Knowledge of bug reporting, including testing

-Ability to work and communicate in a team environment effectively

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing Web applications in ASP.NET, C#, .NET 4.5, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python

-Experience in working with Visual Studio 2013+ or similar IDE

-Experience in working with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and 2013

-Experience with technical writing

-Experience with writing automated tests and testing infrastructure for front-end Web applications
