Software Test Engineer

Key Role:

Be involved in creating and designing processes or experiments to test the quality of a product. Work hand in hand with software engineers to ensure quality is built into digital solutions every step of the way. Maintain responsibility for providing software engineering and life cycle management services to support embedded software products for military applications. 

Basic Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

-Knowledge of different test methodologies, tools, and practices

-Knowledge of software automation, including scripting, debugging, execution, and analysis

-Knowledge of object-oriented and component based product development

-Ability to work in a collaborative environment

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail and follow through on tasks

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Engineering or CS

-Completion of software engineering or development coursework for embedded electronic systems

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with languages, including C/C++ and Windows and Linux shell scripts

-Knowledge of embedded software systems

-Knowledge of the engineering and integration of military ground vehicle electronics systems and subsystems

-Knowledge of how to apply ISO/IEC 12207 standards for software and systems engineering and industry best practices associated with SEI Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) level 3 and above and Lean/6-Sigma principles for software process engineering, management, and control

-Ability to test and manage vehicle electronic software solutions to provide and sustain operational capabilities within military ground systems and vehicles

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including generating scopes of tests, procedures, schedules, and assisting with generating technical documentation supporting DoD programs

-Secret clearance
