Software Tester, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as the test lead on an Agile development team. Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for new or modified stand-alone and Web-based software applications. Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel and provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups. Guide and direct others on the set-up and performance of tests and participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs. Plan, conduct, and supervise assignments, review progress and evaluate results, and recommend changes in procedures under general supervision. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and review progress with management. Support the government certification to field system accreditation process.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with creating, running, analyzing, and documenting software unit and functional tests

-Experience with system administration for various operating systems, scripting, and integration of new and old technologies into existing network configurations and test beds

-Experience with creating scenarios that support the creation of test cases and procedures and analyzing the creation of test documents, including test plans, requirements matrices, and end-of-test reports

-Experience with scaled Agile framework project management and Atlassian tool suite, Jenkins, and Git
-Ability to develop, build, and test multiple lab environments using various telephony and networking hardware following formal testing methods

-Ability to set priorities and rearrange schedules to address unexpected issues and perform baseline unit integration, component, and regression-level testing in support of research and development efforts

-Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing and collaborate with the software development team to resolve software bugs

-Ability to interact with all stakeholders, including development team mates, government clients, and 3rd-party collaborators effectively

-Ability to obtain a security clearance required

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Fortify static code analysis and government accreditation

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
