Software Testing Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Perform hands–on software testing and coordination for Web–based applications and support the testing of an existing product line to integrate new and enhance existing features, including the integration of third–party commercial applications. Participate in the software development life cycle, including requirements definition and design, test, and delivery phases. Work with a team of analysts and engineers to interpret system requirements and designs for alignment with software test cases and perform software and integrated device testing on prototype and production configurations. Coordinate, create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts and work with the development team to integrate scripts into the software build process. Work within one or more product teams directly, including mobile development. Support and facilitate client test events, demonstrate knowledge of in–depth system and user workflow, and support requirements and design engineering tasks, including requirements analysis, use case development, traceability matrices, and UI design throughout the system development life cycle. Lead discussions during requirements gathering and review sessions to ensure requirements are thorough, agreed upon, and validated by the client and propose proactive and effective issue resolutions based on functional and technical expertise. This position is located in Westborough, MA.


Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with performing quality assurance activities
-2+ years of experience with requirements analysis and engineering using the SDLC
-Experience with writing clear and concise requirements and design and test documentation
-Knowledge of software development and systems engineering
-Ability to interact with senior–level management and clients and hold technology discussions with non–technical individuals
-Ability to comprehend data, draw conclusions from complex reports, and work in a fast–paced, collaborative team environment
-Ability to obtain a security clearance required
-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:
-1–2 years of experience with management consulting
-Experience with test automation a plus
-Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA and Confluence
-Experience with Agile process engineering or Scrum
-Experience with development a plus
-Experience with mobile testing a plus

-Secret clearance preferred
-BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems, or Engineering
