Software Transition Engineer

Key Role:

Ensure all technical aspects of a transition, including software, integration, installation, information assurance (IA) and IV&V are addressed and are compliant with government direction. Maintain responsibility for overall system engineering for the contractor’s architecture and comprehend all user requirements, architecture compliance, data services, key elements, issues, and mechanical aspects of complex Army Program of Record. Provide guidance and direction to subject working group leads to ensure synchronization and technical focus. Support database design with logical data models. Provide system–wide synchronization support for the development of software baseline requirements, reference architecture components, and logical data model design for an Aerial Sensor program.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with systems engineering, integration, or administration of military intelligence software systems and DoD military programs

-5+ years of experience with a major defense acquisition program

-3+ years of experience with requirements analysis

-3+ years of experience with analyzing test and evaluation master plans

-Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation process

-Experience in working with PMs, program offices, and other stakeholders throughout the DoD

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, or Information Systems

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting a program of record

-Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices

-Knowledge of DoDAF, the Integrated Support Plan (ISP), and the Support Engineering Plan (SEP)

-Knowledge of current and future Army intelligence systems and the architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems

-Knowledge of Redhat and Debian
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-TS/SCI clearance preferred
-Security+ or CISSP Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
