Solutions Product Manager, Lead

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for working with solution teams to support and guide the development of a product strategy, business model, and pricing, business plan, and technology roadmap for a solution or a suite of solutions, including planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, such as validating the market problem, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, helping to refine the product vision, creating the business case for new products, and working closely with development, design, and marketing to ensure revenue and client satisfaction goals are met. Collect ongoing metrics to analyze and optimize the product return on investment based on KPIs. Evaluate the usability and value of the product. Select features for a minimally viable product and build products using Agile development methodologies. Create a culture congruent with the incubate, develop, and launch cycle.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with developing products and product portfolios of increasing size and reach

-Experience with conducting market and competitive assessment of potential solutions to identify competitive positioning, market differentiation, and appropriate business models

-Experience with assisting solution leads with the development of business cases, product roadmaps, and financial projections, timelines, and milestone reviews

-Experience in assisting a marketing team with target audience definition, key competitive features, potential partnerships, and product positioning or value proposition development and with screening solution ideas or proposals to identify potential solutions

-Experience with supporting approved solutions by helping put together sales channels, identifying second or third-party sales partners, performing quarterly evaluations of product performance, and providing recommendations for a path forward

-Ability to conduct market and competitive assessment of potential solutions to identify competitive positioning, market differentiation, and appropriate business models

-Ability to create use-cases documenting specific instances of real-world product application and extrapolate detailed product requirements from these scenarios and test and validate those assumptions through client interviews, surveys, and focus groups

-Ability to make tough recommendations on whether to maintain or kill products based on product-market fit and ROI

-Ability to work with the solution lead and pricing team to determine product pricing by using market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, and costing special and customized orders and regularly report on the product portfolio’s performance to leadership

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Agile software development projects

-Experience with managing products through the entire product life cycle, including introduction, growth, maturity, and then decline

-Experience with crafting a vision and corresponding client experiences to communicate an end goal to internal teams and value to clients

-Experience with defining, driving, and launching successful software and mobile products from scratch or developing multiple major software and hardware product releases

-Experience with working in product management for an enterprise software, network, or hardware management company

-Ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

-Ability to influence cross-functional teams to work in harmony and achieve a common goal

-Ability to analyze products, customers, and market dynamics

-Possession of excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to talk with and manage multiple stakeholder populations for the product portfolio

-MBA degree preferred
