Space Launch Range Requirements Management Engineer

The Challenge:

This position focuses on reviewing, assessing, developing, organizing, and documenting technical requirements for the US Air Force’s Launch and Test Range System (LTRS). A significant portion of responsibilities will involve working with IBM’s Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) requirement management tool. Analyze technical requirements in the context of system design to aid in LTRS specification updates, as well as support to project definition, development, integration, architecture, production, test and evaluation, fielding, and sustainment efforts. Interact with government program management and contractor engineers to assist with defining the scope of projects and support baseline changes to requirements and interfaces. Update and optimize the requirements database in DOORS, including adding and linking new documents, tracking changes, reviewing and incorporating requirement revisions, and assessing database health and utility. You Have:

-2+ years of experience with supporting LTRS through operations or program management

-2+ years of experience with systems engineering

-Experience with computer-based tools, including word processing, spread sheets, and databases

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree in Engineering

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with DOORS requirements management tool

-Experience with system engineering requirements development and analysis

-Experience with system engineering life cycle processes

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and time management skills

-Secret clearance preferred
