Spacecraft Systems Engineer

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape commercial manned space flights by working with a team of spacecraft system engineers and requirements stakeholders. Your customer will trust you to coordinate, assess and integrate these systems to prepare for flight certification. Specific duties and tasks performed for the project include technical evaluation, integration and coordination of verification data and change packages demonstrating compliance with spacecraft technical requirements.  Work with the spacecraft provider to support spacecraft requirements owners, change integrators, and system subject matter experts to assess provider verification closure evidence and activities. Review and track hazard verification products, working with the spacecraft provider to ensure closure of all comments. Coordinate the planning and implementation of spacecraft product assurance activities and perform requirements engineering for final documentation of products.  Spacecraft risk analysis and coordination will be performed, including identifying any potential impacts to certification products.

You Have:

-8+ years of experience with spacecraft systems engineering focused on system requirements, integration, and verification

-Knowledge of spacecraft systems, including thermal, environmental, guidance, navigation, communications, and propulsion systems

-Ability to work with requirements owners, change engineers, and spacecraft system engineers to triage comments and provide closure of products and activities

-BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with safety engineering analysis, including hazard assessment and tracking.

-Experience with risk coordination and analysis

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent teamwork skills

-MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering
