Standard Query Language Server Database Administrator, Mid

Key role:

Design, implement, and manage databases. Assist with the migration of Oracle databases from 12c to SQL Server 2016. Serve as the database administrator for multiple databases for SQL Server and participate in white boarding sessions with the development and requirements team to architect database structures associated with new functionality and integrations. Create and maintain database diagrams, data dictionaries, and other documentation for the databases for client delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience in working as database administrator for SQL Server relational databases and collaboratively with a development team for system delivery

-5 years of experience in developing stored procedures, tables, triggers, views, functions, and associated database diagrams depicting the database design with overall data architecture

-5 years of experience with normalizing relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle

-Experience with database implementations, migrations, database design, SQL, and database programming 

-Experience with the Agile development methodology for software development

-Experience with developing and maintaining data dictionaries

-Knowledge of ETL processes
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with reading, writing, and programmatically manipulating XML

-Experience with receiving large data sets, analyzing the data, developing data architecture to support the data, and performing ETL to populate the data

-Knowledge of database performance tuning

-Knowledge of methods for backing up databases

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
