Statistical Analytics/Healthcare Analytics Manager

Key Role:

Organize and lead cross-functional teams of health services researchers from across Booz Allen Hamilton to design, develop, and execute innovative solutions to help the federal health clients solve analytic and strategic problems. Develop meaningful and productive relationships with clients by embracing their mission and working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of high quality analytic work products. Provide oversight, support, and mentoring to junior analysts and consulting teams on statistical, economic, and analytical issues, including overseeing the development of study designs and sampling approaches, data access strategies, analytical work plans, SAS programming, and the interpretation and reporting of study results. Provide subject matter expertise for federal health programs, systems, and data to support both business development and client delivery activities. Summarize and communicate analytic results to internal and external clients both in person and in writing. Build internal team capabilities through both developing internal talent and identifying and helping to recruit top talent from outside the firm. Demonstrate thought leadership on CMS policy and advanced analytics techniques.


Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with working in an analytic role within the healthcare field, including federal agency, commercial, civil, or military health payer organization, healthcare delivery system, health advocacy group, academic institution, or consulting firm

-Experience with analyzing federal health policy and programs

-Experience with serving in a client advisory and leadership role

-Experience with building interdisciplinary teams around research projects

-Experience with managing, combining, and manipulating large administrative claims databases, including Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D data, Medicaid claims data, private health plan claims or usage data, or PBM data

-Experience with designing studies, analyzing data, and reporting analytic results to both lay and technical audiences

-Experience with proposal writing

-Experience with writing and reviewing analytic research reports or publications

-MS degree in Healthcare


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with managing large complex projects in a consulting environment, including identifying requirements, determining priorities, managing project risk, resolving issues, and managing client relations

-Experience with recruiting analytic talent and team building

-Knowledge of publications evaluating federal health policy and programs

-MS or PhD degree in a quantitative field, including Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics or MD or RN degree and experience in health services research
