Strategic Communications Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Support the client and project team with the development and execution of internal and external communications efforts. Provide support to senior government leadership, develop communications strategies, and prepare briefing materials for events and meetings, including flag–level briefs, talking points, articles, newsletters, and e–mails to the workforce. Initiate and maintain client relationships, anticipate and identify client issues and concerns, and propose advice to achieve leadership objectives. Apply excellent oral and written communication expertise to clarify complicated issues, simplify technical subject matter, and target messages for diverse audiences. Capture, synthesize, and summarize key points from internal meetings, translating insights into draft deliverables and products. Develop creative and innovative solutions to client issues and project approaches. Provide strategic and administrative support, including drafting and editing agendas, meeting materials, and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with strategic communications

-Experience with editing and performing quality control of reports, presentations, and other documents

-Ability to work with senior government officials under tight deadlines and translate ideas and concepts into professional communication products, including speeches, talking points, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, articles, e–mails to staff, and other communication products, as needed

-Ability to think conceptually and strategically and learn quickly

-Ability to be a critical thinker, analyst, and active listener

-Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, ensure any conflicts are brought to the attention of the management team, and multi–task and work on several projects simultaneously

-Ability to be flexible and adaptable

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Navy and public health preferred

-Ability to be self–motivated and focused on the value of internal and external strategic communications

-Ability to build excellent relationships across multiple organizations and teams

-BA or BS degree in related field preferred
