Strategic Communications Specialist, Senior

Key Role:
Collaborate with senior leaders on the daily operations of the organization, including analyzing the development of standard business procedures, strategic communications, task management, and program management functions. Develop and synchronize strategic communications initiatives. Streamline and improve communications standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of these initiatives. Develop, streamline, and improve internal program management functions, including creating templates to ensure accurate and timely responses. Perform quality assurance reviews on written products. Compose, coordinate, and consolidate recurring reports and work products.


Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with strategic communications
-3+ years of experience with working in congress or the DoD
-Experience with supporting senior officials in a headquarters staff environment
-Experience with Microsoft Office
-Ability to manage competing priorities
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree 


Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with planning, leading, and completing complex projects

-Experience with legislative and congressional affairs, reporting, communications, public relations, acquisition, or a related field

-Experience in interfacing with senior military and civilian leadership

-Knowledge of the role external affairs and policy has in driving program objectives

-Knowledge of strategic planning and program management

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MS degree preferred

-DAWIA Level II Program Manager or Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level II Certification
