Strategy Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Develop strategic alignment assessments of Air Force Functional Flight Plans and Core Function Support Plans. Conduct open source research and analysis related to Air Force strategy development, strategy implementation, and participation in defense strategy reviews. Prepare bullet background papers, Microsoft PowerPoint briefings, and resource analysis tools as detailed in this PWS. Assist with task and workflow management. Conduct the review and assessment of Air Force budgets, strategy, and force structure. Consult with clients to ensure that Air Force budgets, resources, force structure, and doctrine align with and support the National Defense Strategy. Conduct research and analysis of the threats and challenges to US national security and their resultant impact on Air Force capabilities and strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with strategy development, strategic planning, or strategic assessments in DoD with at least 1 of those years of experience with working directly in Air Force Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (SPPBE)

-Knowledge of Air Force Service-level planning and programming and participating in Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS)

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Defense and Strategic Studies, Foreign Affairs, International Politics, Business, Communications, or Marketing

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing Air Force strategic alignment assessments

-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills in terms of writing, presenting, and conflict resolution

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
