Strategy and Plans Analyst

Key Role:
Support the Pacific Air Forces Strategy and Plans Division (A5X) in developing long-range planning, guidance, and assessment. Coordinate with military and civilian staff planners in their work on operational design and the creation of Operational Plans (OPLAN), Concept Plans (CONPLANS), and Concepts of Employment (CONEMP). Comprehend and use the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) and the Joint Operations Planning Process for Air (JOPPA) to develop long-range plans and new employment concepts. Coordinate across multi-functional staff for the development of the command’s strategy, including identification of objectives, tasks, and preferred effects. Establish assessment criteria and provide the commander with analysis to inform follow on guidance and direction. 

Basic Qualifications

-5+ years of experience with the Military

-5+ years of experience on a major command or other higher headquarters staff

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as an aviator

-Intermediate- or Senior-Level Professional Military Education
