Submarine Acquisition Program Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of defense acquisition to analyze the development of acquisition and contract technical documentation, including acquisition plans (APs), simplified acquisition management plans (SAMPs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and technical advisor reports (TARs). Provide acquisition support for all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting acquisition documentation requirements. Support contract execution by preparing electronic procurement requests (PRs) using the Standard Procurement System (SPS), tracking and monitoring contract modifications, developing contract status reporting, and maintaining historical contract documentation. Apply quantitative analytical techniques and critical thinking to assessing system acquisition process issues and developing risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving acquisition and program planning, control, and execution. Support the PM by providing critical and insightful thought leadership in analyzing strategies, communication plans, briefs, and papers to help shape the long- term vision and success of the program. Facilitate coordination of stakeholders across the program office and with outside activities.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with DoD acquisition and contract document development

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and SharePoint

-Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, DoD 5000, and SECNAVINST 5000

-Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) Acquisition Category (ACAT) level programs and life cycle acquisition requirements

-Experience with the SPS a plus

-Knowledge of NAVSEA and Program Executive Office organizations and structures

-Knowledge of the Navy correspondence manual

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including grammar

-Defense Acquisition University Certifications
