Supply Analyst

Key Role:

Provide analysis of a Marine Expeditionary Unit’s (MEU) team supply in compliance with Marine Corps and MEU policies and procedures. Analyze data reporting trends within Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) and other programs reporting enterprise-wide supply data. Conduct analyses of supply-related practices with the usage of GCSS-MC and evaluate adherence in accordance with current policies, directives, and SOPs to identify trends and causation factors in determining the unit’s supply trends, including erroneous CMRs, perpetual inventory listing, DASF issues, active property CMRs, command adjustments, and excess or deficiencies. Provide recommendations for procedural and process improvements to achieve best compliance and readiness improvements and on-the-job instruction, over-the-shoulder training, and best practice mentoring and coaching, as required to facilitate effective supply management. Ensure the accuracy of the MEU team’s property records and provide the MEU commanding officer and incoming client team commanding officer a report on the status of the team’s account upon transition. Ensure the retention of key supporting documents (KSD) upon transition in accordance with current Marine Corps orders, bulletins, and directives. Assist MEF, MEU, and client staffs in the planning and validation of proposed Equipment Density Lists (EDL) for each EDL validation being conducted by the MEU. This position is located in Okinawa, Japan.

Basic Qualifications:

-8 years of experience in a management or supervisory role in supply administration

-2 years of experience with conducting supply compliance inspections and analysis on subordinate units

-Experience with Global Combat Supply System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC)

-Experience with Marine Corps policies and directives governing supply and maintenance procedures

-Experience with Marine Corps Supply Operating Concept and Naval Integration

-Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Office, OneNote, and Access and standard operating procedure development and management

-Ability to work with senior-level staff members

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or 10+ years of experience with USMC supply management

-Enrollment at a Formal Chief or Department Head School required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting III MEF and Major Subordinate Commands

-Experience with MEU supply operations

-Knowledge of the Asia-Pacific Area of Operation
