Sustainment Architect/Systems Engineer

Key Role:
Provide life-cycle management strategies to achieve AF DCGS sustainment metrics, including operational availability, reliability and total ownership cost, mean down time, and other program-specific targets. Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, and cost avoidance to analyze the development of cost-saving plans. Develop long-term weapon system supportability approaches that further the government’s acquisition strategy goals through rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis, including ensuring continued operation and sustainment of OA DCGS within sustainment funding boundaries. Review technical specifications and documentation that support Reliability, Maintainability, Quality, Supportability, and Interoperability (RMQSI) efforts to facilitate sustainment activities and recommend changes to ensure cost-effective support to achieve peacetime and wartime operational readiness and performance requirements. Analyze and deliver an integrated strategy that includes all product support elements and program functional areas that will be available for review and action.

Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with AF DCGS operations, modernization, planning, policy, and acquisition and sustainment support
-Knowledge of materiel management functions for a DoD weapon system, including weapon system sustainment planning intended to cover the total life cycle of the weapon system
-Ability to provide strategic and technical advice regarding AF DCGS weapon system software, hardware, infrastructure, and sustainment issues
-Ability to generate and present findings, presentations, and reports and engage with government clients, executive leadership, staff support, and internal and external stakeholders
-Active Secret clearance
-BS degree in Engineering or CS and 5 years of experience with AF-DCGS operations, planning, policy, acquisition, and sustainment or 10 years of experience with AF-DCGS operations, planning, policy, acquisition, and sustainment in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications: 
-Experience with tactical intelligence collection systems and sensors, SIGINT, GEOINT, multi-INT, intelligence product production and dissemination, communication systems, and ATM and IP networking technologies
-Experience with open architecture concepts, including open architecture DCGS
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
-Networking Certification
-Lean Six Sigma Certification, including Green or Black Belt
-SAFe Methodologies or Agile Execution Certification, including SAFe Agilist or Practitioner, CSM, or CSPO
-ITIL/ITSM Certifications
-Program Management Certification, including PMP
