System Administrator, Senior

Key Role:

Conduct system administration of Windows systems, including coordination with the local Network Enterprise Center (NEC) and 2nd Regional Cyber Center (2RCC). Maintain responsibility of multi-database, multi-user, multi-application environment and corresponding virtual host, physical servers, storage area network, and backup solutions. Troubleshoot operating system (OS) and application issues, including implementing OS and software installation and upgrades, monitoring the infrastructure, inspecting logs, performance tuning, and deploying virtual machines. Provide technical support to application developers and testers, and work with the hosting provider to escalate server, network, and storage issues, as required. Analyze and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Monitor the system information security posture by installing IAVA updates and patches to ensure information assurance compliance and standards. Serve as a systems expert supporting the client, recommending system improvements and efficiencies, including identifying and mitigating risks, and providing recommendations based on industry best practices and support the implementation of local database STIGs.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 R2, IIS, VMware, vCenter, vSphere, Remote Desktop, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, and CISCO IOS

-3+ years of experience in a DOD network environment, firewall policy, ports, and protocols

-Experience with storage and backup technologies

-BA or BS degree

-Secret clearance

-MCITP/MCSA: Server Administrator 2012 and Active Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cloud technologies

-Experience with ACAS and HBSS

-Experience with Agile methodologies

-Ability to work in a fast-paced, and team-oriented environment

-Ability to show excellent technical leadership and client-facing consulting expertise

-Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials

-Ability to respond quickly to production issues as they unfold

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-Possession of excellent analytical skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in IT
