System Administrator

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for managing Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) policies, monitor new complex systems, configure and install systems hardware and software, and maintain server and domain security requirements. Solve complex networking system and administration issues and use critical thinking to support network functionality alongside network administrators. Implement security procedures and tools and resolve hardware or software interface and interoperability problems. Ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency. Maintain systems configuration and manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements. Perform feasibility studies on complex information systems and conduct in-depth analyses complicated by novel problems.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in an IT-related field

-4+ years of experience with VMware virtualization technologies

-2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows system administration, including logging and scripting, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Windows server roles, including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory

-2+ years of experience with SAN storage

-Knowledge of Linux system administration, including logging

-Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 systems administration and troubleshooting

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-AA or AS degree required

-DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Certification 

-CompTIA Security+ Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with PowerShell scripting and networking

-Experience with clustering

-Experience with Windows Deployment Services (WDS)

-Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification

-VMware Advanced Professional (VCAP) Certification

-Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification

-Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification

-VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Certification
