System Administrator

Key Role:

Support the Navy major fleets operating on Navy Shore Command Integration and Expeditionary C4I networks and systems. Support the analyzing, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware and software IA-related problems and evaluate associated programs and systems against IA requirements, research methods, and procedures to verify DoD Information Security (IS) compliance. Support system operations and maintenance activities for the completion of related scientific and technical analysis or developmental efforts, as necessary. Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of training of end users, technical support staff, or other personnel associated with client bases receiving new technologies or system upgrades within the Navy Shore Command Integration and Expeditionary portfolio. Collect defined system Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) data during planned and unplanned exercises and demonstrations. Represent the organization as the principal client contact and generally perform in a program or project leadership role. Interact with management and senior client personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with system administration and network administration of applications in the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) core baseline or mission build capabilities list and applications within the Expeditionary C2 Baseline, including Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, Nutanix, Citrix, Splunk, BMC, Fortinet, and Cisco

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED required

-DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

-CompTIA Security+, MCSA, or CCNA Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with using Microsoft Office

-Experience with computers and trouble ticket software, including Remedy

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree preferred

-MCSE, CCNP, or CISSP Certifications
