System/Network Administrator

Key Role:
Lead and conduct day-to-day system administration of multiple complex customer network environments, including administration of multiple virtualized, multi-OS environments. Conduct continuous security monitoring of customer environments in accordance with RMF and policy in coordination with the Cybersecurity lead, and implement Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), including applying security updates to comply with IAVAs and IAVBs. Create and maintain system documentation, including architecture guides and diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other technical documentation, adhering to SPAWAR and customer templates and policies, as required. Maintain customer equipment and related supply inventories. Facilitate and lead multi-organization technical meetings. Provide customer support by identifying and responding to customer issues and requirements with a focus on quality assurance and customer satisfaction. Provide senior systems administration support and leadership briefings on a weekly basis and as needed, including system status and recommendations for technology and process improvements.

Basic Qualifications

-15+ years of experience with systems requirements, operational requirements, test and evaluation, or training

-Knowledge of installing, configuring, operating, testing, optimizing, and securing operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Linux, virtualization systems, including VMware vSphere, or Microsoft Hyper-V, database servers, including Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Server, security monitoring and control software, including ACAS or HBSS, network-connected storage solutions, including NetApp or Dell EMC, converged infrastructure products, including Cisco Unified Computing System or Vblock, directory services, including Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP, including developing and applying GPOs, or scripting, including bash or PowerShell for the purpose of system administration

-Ability to plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and multiple security enclaves, interpret IT policies, standards, and guidelines, and provide technical leadership

-Ability to develop and maintain standard operating procedures, TTPs, system architecture guides and diagrams, system configuration, and other system technical documentation and develop new methods, approaches, and procedures

-Ability to install and maintain software and hardware and control current versions and future releases of application software

-Ability to secure COTS, systems, and networks, including applying STIGs and IAVA patches, developing and applying operating system policies, and complying with CTOs

-Ability to conduct analyses, recommend resolutions to complex issues, prepare and present performance metrics, briefings, and reports

-Ability to use oral and written communications effectively to convey functional and technical ideas and concepts, explain rationale, and provide recommendations

-TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree
