Systems Administrator

Key Role:

Work as a systems architect or administrator for a cutting-edge US government client mission team. Interact regularly with a small team of software engineers and database architects who design data extraction software and database custom data sets and interact with the analyst team to meet end-user requirements. Serve as a systems administrator for a virtualized Linux environment and establish effective deployment and migration strategies for software and application data to multiple virtual platforms. Administer and maintain multiple Centos and Windows environments, establish and enforce configuration management controls, and perform security patches. Propose and implement enhancements to improve the security, performance, and reliability of the environments. Manage granular permission sets for subjects and objects and apply administrative knowledge of the system to assist with the security authorization processes. Identify and implement appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Windows and Linux virtualization

-Experience with creating technical documentation, including system architecture, application configurations, and software deployment checklists

-Experience with Nessus and patch management server, including WSUS and Spacewalk and Satellite

-Experience with virtualization and container, including KVM, VMware, and Docker

-Experience with installing or upgrading software components or providing automated scripting solutions and maintaining security policies
-Knowledge of Web site and application security principles and best practices

-Ability to troubleshoot and maintain disk and storage media, including NFS or SAN-based storage 
-Ability to troubleshoot and configure network protocols and set up and maintain a domain-level authentication server, including Active Directory, IDM, or LDAP for both Windows and Linux
-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with setup and maintenance of Netapp

-Experience with RHEV

-Experience with Splunk

-Experience with databases, including MySQL and NoSQL

-Experience with LAMP stack and MEAN stack

-Experience with basic networking, including Cisco and Juniper

-Knowledge of storage management
