Systems Administrator

Key Role:

Serve as a systems administrator interfacing with government clients. Provide required engineering services and play a key role in the development and support of a current Network Operations Center (NOC). Assist with defining requirements for effective, secure data transmissions and expanding, building, and rebuilding network infrastructures for collections. Design, implement, and troubleshoot a network infrastructure while adhering to policies and procedures using assistance from client senior engineers. Develop and improve relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers. Monitor and maintain hardware and software as a system and network administrator. This position is located in Quantico, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with implementing and supporting network and system security capabilities, including network firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDSes) and intrusion prevention systems (IPSes), threat analysis, vulnerability scanning, and policy

-Experience with supporting implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems

-Experience with supporting IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the client's server, storage network, and mobile devices

-Experience with Virtualization using VMWare or Hyper V

-Experience with server administration

-Knowledge of database administration, network administration, network design, and configuration management

-Active Top Secret clearance required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working as part of a large IT-based team or project

-Experience with encryption devices

-Experience with virtualization using VMWare or Hyper V

-Experience with data protection and disaster recovery

-Experience with enterprise security

-Experience with server administration using Cisco UCS platforms preferred

-Possession of excellent time management and analytical skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree preferred

-Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred
