Systems Administrator

Key Role:

Provide engineering and technical services for the maintenance, integration, and enhancement of client organization–level command and control intelligence systems and any other C4ISR systems that interface with other ISR and intelligence systems.  Provide systems and network and database administration, and server support. Load computers with government–furnished software and system images, assist users with data backup, restore, and installation of software applications, manage software patches and security updates to client systems, and document software configurations and standard operating procedures for training materials. Provide systems support and trouble call resolution and coordinate with the local help desk, higher level help desk, or program management office resources for resolution, as needed. Maintain network hardware, monitor network performance, and correct network performance issues to restore the network to optimal performance. Maintain network drawings and diagrams, including rack diagrams, engineering the network to ensure maximum performance. Ensure the physical integrity of the databases resident on the systems, performing periodic database backups and database restores, load new databases, and reinitialize and reload databases, as required. Monitor database performance, database storage allocations, and critical system parameters as a preventative approach to potential problems and take actions necessary to ensure the physical integrity of the databases resident on the systems.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with Air Force intelligence systems and joint programs, such as GALE and GCCS, among others

-Knowledge of network protocols, Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems;

-Knowledge of World Wide Web, IntelLink, and intranet technology, processes, and application

-Knowledge of DoD Information Security Policies and Programs for COMPUSEC and INFOSEC, multi–level security, and emerging information warfare concepts

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoD 8570.01–M IAT–II Baseline Certification, including GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISA, GCIH, CISSP, CISSA, or CASP

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to thrive in a high OPTEMPO environment and handle myriad requirements on a daily basis

-Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, or a related scientific field

-MCSE, Cisco, NetApp, and VMware Certifications preferred
