Systems Administrator

Key Role:
Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes attached to these systems. Support IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices. Provide Tier 1 Help Desk and Tier 2 escalation problem identification, diagnosis, and problem resolution. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with systems administration 
-5+ years of experience with administering Linux or UNIX systems, including RedHat or CentOS
-Experience with installing, building, loading, configuring, or maintaining hardware components of laboratory or operational system, including operating system software
-Experience with developing and implementing system configuration scripts in Python, Perl, Java, Perl, ksk, csh, Bourne, and Bash
-Experience providing support to IT systems, including day-to day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution of all of client, server, storage, or network devices
-Experience with using Puppet
-Knowledge of VMWare and VSphere virtual environments
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BS degree or 15 years of experience with systems administration in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with providing systems administration service for Linux infrastructure and development systems
-Experience with analyzing and documenting system processes, build procedures, and system infrastructure
-Experience using firewalls, including CISCO ASA, CISCO Firepower NGIPS, and CISCO ASDM management GUI
-Experience with using routers, including CISCO IOS, BROCADE VDX Ethernet Fabric, and BROCADE Site Advisor
-Experience with troubleshooting standard daemons and tools, including NFS, NTP, BIND, APACHE, SYSLOG, logrotate, chkconfig, init scripts, and curl general networking
-Experience with using CentOs
-Experience with using IPTables and TCP wrappers
-Experience with using Nagios
-Experience with using WLANs and VLANs
-Experience in working with CAT6 and FIBER cables and connectors
-Knowledge of computer or system architectures, the software development life cycle, configuration management methods, and software testing principles
-Ability to work between 0700-1700
-DoD 8570 compliant certification, including IAT Level I or greater
-RedHat Certification
