Systems Engineer, Lead

Key Role:

Support the modernization and integration of Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A) mission applications and infrastructure components. Maintain responsibility for assessment and estimation of the development, test, and deployment of products and systems in the DCGS-A family of systems. Work closely with customers, senior leadership within programs, and other systems engineers and development engineers to comprehend customer objectives and requirements and develop solutions from the conceptual stage through delivery and field deployment. Comprehend customer objectives, CONOPS, and requirements and translate those requirements into an executable development plan. Create all the appropriate systems engineering documentation, including CONOPS requirements and RVTM. To develop, integrate, test, and deliver to meet customer objectives. Generate concrete plans for loosely defined and highly complex challenges to enable engineering development teams to execute and deliver solutions, accordingly. Lead teams of engineers to develop and integrate components to form new solutions. 

Basic Qualification:

-8 years of experience with systems engineering and product development in the information processing and dissemination systems

-5 years of experience with leading engineering teams to develop and deploy software

-Experience with the development of systems of systems architectures

-Experience with the development and implementation of information systems to meet functional and non-functional requirements

-Experience with all phases of systems and product development life cycles

-Active TS/SCI clearance is required

Additional Qualifications:  

-Experience in working with the intelligence community

-Experience with system development, software development, hardware development, or mission support

-Experience with evaluating engineering proposals and ROMs

-Knowledge of data architecture, data dissemination, or information security planning

-Experience with Army intelligence analysis processes, information systems security protocols, or system interoperability

-Ability to work at the conceptual level and with program leads, customers, and internal teams to ensure successful system development, integration, and deployment

-Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaboration skills working with senior leadership and external customers

-MA or MS degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
