Systems Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Function as a systems administrator and the public face of the technical side in the National Business Parkway offices. Process requests for people and teams that use the facility and troubleshoot end user problems. Configure network infrastructure to facilitate access while maintaining a high level of security. Provide quality technical support for National Business Parkway office users and maintain technical infrastructure. Ensure the local technical environment is available and reliable. Liaise with Booz Allen’s internal technical resources and ensure technical security is maintained.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with Windows administration, including the design and implementation of AD structure, such as security groups, OUs for resource management, such as local and remote use, a domain serving as either a parent or root domain, AD integration of the lab’s existing DCs for the domain for hierarchical and centralized management, the analysis and implementation of group policy for the simplification of end user OS control and management, and patch management
-Experience with configuration management, including the process to select and implement software for management of in-place systems and deployment of new systems, servers used to push changes and pull information and files, and performing patch management for Windows
-Experience with ESXi Server Administration, including the process used to manage resource pools, virtual networking, and VMs and the management of SAN for optimal space allocation and performance
-Experience with network administration, including reading and comprehending network design, switch configuration and basic setup, and VLANs
-Knowledge of subnetting and how to use ACLs for the control of and access to network resources
-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-HS diploma or GED
-Security+ Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-BA or BS degree in Information Systems, CS, or Engineering
