Systems Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Perform research, analysis, and design support for requirements and operational workflow traceability to meet mission needs. Participate in complex strategy planning and execution for multi-level security requirements resulting from direct interactions with external and internal stakeholders and drive operational synergies across organizational elements. Interact with government program management and contractor engineers to assist with defining the scope of project and potential gaps and support baseline changes to system requirements and user interfaces. Assist with developing and documenting detailed designs by supporting implementation, test, and transition plans. Work independently or in a team environment and collaborate with others to provide support focused on the advancement of operational requirements and workflows. Provide subject matter expertise in the provision of Information Assurance (IA) support for Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Authorization and Accreditation (A&A), and DIACAP or RMF accreditation packages, artifact generation and requirements analysis. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience with space or counterspace mission systems operations
-5+ years of experience with requirements development and integration
-5+ years of experience with program management
-5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Project, Outlook, Word, and Excel
-Knowledge of IA policies, including DIACAP
-Ability to multi–task and adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and IT tools
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree or 7+ years of experience with network architecture, design, integration, and support
 

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of network engineering, data-flow, and interface requirements
-Ability to leverage existing applications or methods and provide input on the development of new applications that improve products or methods
-Ability to display flexibility, show initiative and innovation, and deal with ambiguous and fast–paced situations
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
-Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem–solving skills
-MA or MS degree in CS or an equivalent field preferred


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
