Systems Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Provide support to an Air Force client, including advising, planning, performing studies, and researching and developing acquisition and technical deliverables. Assist the client with solving complex technical issues, including analysis of alternatives, developmental engineering, test and evaluation, program development and execution, and other activities relevant to the effective analysis of weapon and range systems capabilities throughout the acquisition and sustainment life cycle. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Provide technical consultation to technical staff or other organizations.

Basic Qualifications:

-8 years of experience with systems engineering and test and evaluation activities

-5 years of experience with applications and implementations of Acquisition Category (ACAT I thru III) programs using DoD 5000 series directives and instructions

-Experience with military organizations as a veteran, contractor, or government civilian

-Knowledge of acquisition management, acquisition logistics, funding technical management, depot repair, and supply chain management

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

-Ability to coach, mentor, and train junior engineers

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with program management

-Knowledge of Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command and Air Logistics Center operations

-Knowledge of the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-Program and Project Management Certification a plus
