Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Identify and document systems architecture in support of product baselines and functionality. Coordinate technology insertion efforts and analyze industry trends and emerging technology's application to the program baseline. Lead projects and support defining customer specifications and any regulatory requirements that are applicable to the product. Support the authoring and review of government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy to ensure requirements are met. Create complete, organized, detailed requirements documentation and coordinate for release for configuration management. Work with component suppliers to specify and acquire specifications for commercial and custom components that are needed for the product design. Support and facilitate the technical review of items for formal release and under the purview of the Configuration Control Board.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with complex systems engineering tasks

-Experience in evaluating and analyzing demonstration and test results, documenting plans and reports, coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing CDRLs, and presenting the program to senior management

-Experience with using engineering applications, including DOORS or ECAD

-Experience with product life cycle management tools, including Windchill, Teamcenter, or Agile

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with designing and manufacturing military systems preferred

-Experience with designing and manufacturing commercial systems

-Experience with mechanical engineering, including manufacturing practices, commercial parts and material standards, and principles of operation for a wide variety of mechanisms

-Experience with failure analysis and resolution of system components and usage procedures

-Knowledge of the ANSI Y14.100 family of engineering standards

-Knowledge of a wide range of areas of application, including integration of power systems, optical transmission, power generators, electronic packaging, material handling equipment, and maintenance procedures for field and depot

-Knowledge of DoD IT practices, including Risk Management Framework (RMF)

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to write at a professional and technical level

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in Engineering or a related field

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
