Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a team member of larger multi-disciplinary teams to provide systems and communications engineering expertise on several simultaneous design projects for the Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) and the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station (PAX NAS). Support the requirements allocation and definition studies required to ensure the logical and systematic realization of systems-based requirements into sound technical solutions meeting larger program objectives. Maintain responsibility for assisting with the identification of communications systems or subsystems required to meet project objectives, attending and conducting site surveys, participating in program level IPT meetings, and supporting the testing of fully integration communications systems to validate performance of improved or enhanced components, as required. Provide engineering expertise and guidance to Information Assurance (IA) personnel supporting IA certifications, accreditation, and assessments for systems under development and requiring engineering support, including manned and unmanned airborne, shipboard, and ground-based communication systems and platforms.


Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with systems engineering supporting US Navy programs developed under the NAVAIR Systems Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) process
-Experience with supporting the design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts, including Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), requirements analysis, interface design, system architecture development, and system performance analysis
-Active Secret clearance 

-BA or BS degree in Engineering
