Systems Engineer

Key Role:
Conduct a variety of engineering tasks for the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, including software or hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, technical expertise in fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural or interoperability support, and quality engineering. Develop equipment and network configurations and products. Ensure interoperability with the Army client's baseline. Apply experience in a variety of technical disciplines, including electronics, software, mathematical, and scientific specialties. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments and contribute to the advancement of industry knowledge in the area of expertise. Solve complex technical problems of critical importance to the organization's technical direction. Lead the development and implementation of key technologies for the organization. 

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience in a professional work environment
-Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
-Knowledge of DoDAF, the Integrated Support Plan (ISP), and the Support Engineering Plan (SEP)
-Knowledge of the Converged Ethernet Over IP (EOIP) network
-Knowledge of current Force or future C4ISR networks
-Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
-Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree or 12+ years of experience in working with the DoD

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Army acquisition policies and guidelines
-Experience with SATCOM, FDMA and TDMA modems, and IP networking
-Knowledge of Army Tactical Networks
-Knowledge of current or future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks, including the architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems
-Knowledge of system engineering methods and processes to support System of System (SoS) engineering analysis and evaluations
-Ability to show Visio, BPT, and presentation expertise
-Ability to be accomplishment–oriented, a team player, and an individual contributor
-Ability to be proactive and assume additional responsibility and accountability
