Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Provide guidance and direction to the subject working group leads to ensure synchronization and technical focus and review government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy and to ensure requirements are met. Coordinate technology insertion efforts, analyze industry trends and emerging technology application to the program baseline, and interface regularly with industry partners to ensure the prime contractor is providing the most advanced technology to the Warfighter. Identify system architectures in support of Operational Needs Statements (ONS) that are compatible with the current tactical communication systems and coordinate with other programs, internal and external to the Army client to ensure interoperability with the Program of Record baseline. Support systems testing relative to emerging Army client’s intelligence requirements and capabilities. Maintain responsibility for the engineering design, installation, operation, and maintenance of the Army client’s counterintelligence and human intelligence capabilities and apply technical expertise at field locations, as needed.

Basic Qualifications

-3+ years of experience with systems engineering and design for DoD or military programs

-3+ years of experience with installing, troubleshooting, and debugging computer systems 

-Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices

-Knowledge of current and future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks and the architecture, protocols, security, and network management

-Ability to be accomplishment–oriented, a team player, and an individual contributor. 

-Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, be proactive, and assume additional responsibility and accountability 

-Active TS/SCI clearance required

Additional Qualifications:    

-Experience with military engineering or military systems software in the US Army preferred

-Experience with counterintelligence or human intelligence a plus

-Experience with Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS–A)

-Experience with the Military preferred

-BS degree in Engineering, CS, or Information Systems a plus
