Systems/Network Administrator

Key Role:
Support and manage the day-to-day operation of computer networks, including hardware or software support, training, and special projects and plan, design, and implement data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems. Evaluate the technical feasibility of proposed system solutions and develop project proposals in support of military exercises and simulations training. Analyze, maintain, and implement network support and archiving procedures for a mission training complex. Meet with clients to plan, analyze, design, and test computer applications to ensure computer software and applications adhere to the organizational plan.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with systems or network management and administration
-Experience with network wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware or software purchases, system installation, backup, maintenance, and problem solving, and network and remote connectivity hardware or software support
-Experience with the configuration and maintenance of virtual servers
-Experience with monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, or evaluating hardware, software, and equivalent network problems
-Knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Server applications, including Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL server operations
-Knowledge of security violation reporting procedures for classified systems with the ability to identify and predict difficult certification activities and plan mitigation strategies
-Ability to support training exercises in a semi-austere environment, as necessary
-Active Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
-Network+ Certification or equivalent

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in working with or training any of the following systems: Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and system subcomponents, Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE) or Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG), Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care (MC4), or the Harbor Master Command and Control system
-Experience with military service or command post operations a plus

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
-Ability to deliver operator-level training in a classroom environment in accordance with established Mission Training Complex Training support plans
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Completion of digital master gunner training, battle staff operations, or military instruction training preferred
