Tactical Data Link Engineer

Key Role:
Provide tactical data link communications engineering and analytical support to help resolve critical technical issues for the DoD command, control, and communications (C3) community,with a particular focus on interoperability, Work on DoD Information network (DoDIN) integration, Cybersecurity vulnerability identification, and solution engineering. Engage with Services, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and warfighters to identify and resolve critical operational issues pertaining to communications. Lead, organize, and execute technical tiger teams to analyze, evaluate, and resolve issues. Participate in tactical data link architecture and roadmap planning and the study and assessment of alternatives. Participate in department-wide tactical data link communications analyses by leading or engaging in technical working groups. Plan and execute studies and analyses, as directed by the client. Participate in DoD C3 and tactical data link meetings and forums, as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of of experience with tactical data link communications, including planning, usage, and interoperability with using platforms and networks

-Experience with organizing, planning, and leading technical tiger teams

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with data link design or military operational work

-Experience with establishing professional network across the tactical data link stakeholder community

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS in Engineering or a technical field preferred; MA or MS degree in EE, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering a plus
