Talend Developer, Senior

Key Role:

Design, structure, develop, and test data transformation processes with Talend. Maintain responsibility for developing the solutions required to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from different enterprise source systems into an enterprise data warehouse to integrate intercompany business processes for enterprise reporting. Design, code, and test major features and work with other team members to provide complex software enhancements for databases. Collaborate with a functional team and other team leads to create integration solutions and apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to ensuring efficient program logic and data manipulation. Lead design and review meetings with all appropriate parties, provide feedback for other team members, ensure design, structure, and content meet performance guidelines, and maintain responsibility for test planning and testing. Develop detailed documentation, including functional and technical design documents, test cases, support documentation, migration and installation steps, release notes, and mapping documents. Provide high-level analysis and design reviews to solve conceptual problems, avoid duplication of efforts within the development group, provide expert guidance in developing and implementing solutions using Talend industry standards and best practices, and work with cutting edge technology to lead integration projects.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience as an ETL developer

-2+ years of experience with Talend data management and integration, including ETL and Talend open studio for troubleshooting Talend code

-2+ years of experience in Oracle and SQL Server databases with writing complex SQL transformations

-Experience with leading and developing medium- to large-scale enterprise-level operational data integration projects, including Real-Time and Webservice-based initiatives

-Experience in SQL with relational database, delivery pipelines, including CI and CD

-Knowledge of security, logging, and auditing for end-to-end process execution

-Knowledge of industry standards and best practices surrounding all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with using tools and frameworks, including Git, Subversion, or Nexus

-Experience with implementing Docker and Container architecture

-Possession of excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-BA or BS degree

-Talend Data Integration Certification a plus
