Technical Architect, Lead

Key Role:

Work independently to design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software for third party clients. Lead a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems for third party clients. Act as the highest level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Maintain responsibility for project completion. Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in software architecture, design, and development

-8+ years of experience with J2EE integration, software development, and design and development with J2EE, ESB, JMS, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Spring, XML, or JSON

-Experience in consulting with clients on architectural options and implementation approaches

-Experience with Linux Containers and supporting software, fault tolerance, and automation

-Experience with architecting Rest Web Services

-Experience in performance tuning in application servers, transactional tracking, and troubleshooting and enhancing an existing environment

-Experience with RDBMS, including Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres, SQL, data analytics, and reporting

-Knowledge of modern services-based or SOA architectures

-Ability to create and maintain software interfaces through defined transmission standards and guidelines for deployed services

-Ability to obtain a security clearance


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with enterprise search technologies, including SOLR or Elasticsearch

-Experience with JavaScript frameworks

-Experience with CSS frameworks

-Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, CouchBase, Redis, or Memcached

-Experience with DevOps, Automation, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing, including centralized logging, share caching, APM, JSON, and Jenkins

-Experience with generating and contributing to the development of new and innovative concepts and techniques

-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a variety of system configurations

-Ability to participate in a team environment and build strong working relationships

-Ability to provide robust client delivery and production support roles

-Ability to serve as a trusted adviser to client middle management

-Ability to perform work without appreciable direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field a plus
