Technical Architect, Senior

Key Role:

Architect, design, and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software for federal government clients. Lead a software development team to design highly complex software systems for clients. Leverage technical expertise to address issues with systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Lead and manage project delivery and execution. Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects and present findings to senior management.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with leading and developing software for operational systems

-3+ years of experience with software development for federal government mission systems

-Experience with leading software development teams in agile production environments

-Knowledge of server virtualization, networking, and storage requirements for high availability scalable systems

-Ability to organize and lead a team of up to 30 developers in Kanban, Agile, or DevOps processes

-Public Trust clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the development of large, mission-critical workflow and document management systems

-Experience with a range of programming languages and technologies, including Docker, Swarm, Saltstack, Bash, JavaScript, Python, Git, Jenkins, Linus, HAProxy, AWS Cloud, ELK, Java, Kafka, MongoDB, and Zookeeper

-Experience with implementing protocols, including REST, SOAP, MQ, TCP/IP, and JSON

-Experience with DevOps development tools, including Nexus and Jenkins, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Atlassian tool suites, including JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye or Crucible, and Stash

-Knowledge of software programming for virtualized and Cloud computing environments

-Ability to design and build automated code deployment and orchestrate deployment from OS through applications

-MA or MS degree preferred
