Technical Architect, Senior

Key Role:

Work as a technical subject matter expert in large military data organizations, including supporting, constructing, and maintaining comprehensive architectures. Drive the technical analysis and application of best practices of enterprise architecture and platform design to solve complex operational and planning challenges in a data-driven organization. Provide actionable, clearly communicated technical recommendations to support client strategic planning and operational decisions. Develop and use reference architectures, system designs, and feasibility studies to support planning teams and facilitate senior leadership decisions.


Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with technology or analytic strategy, IT system planning, and data management for US government or commercial organizations, including serving in technical lead roles as a management consultant or corporate strategy professional

-6+ years of experience with conducting enterprise architecture analysis and developing resource allocation and budgetary documentation, reference architectures, and out-year IT modernization development

-4+ years of experience in data management practices with an emphasis on federal and industry standard models

-4+ years of experience with UML, data modeling, and logical and physical solution architecture 

-4+ years of experience with conducting technology assessments to implement new large data initiatives 

-4+ years of experience with data infrastructure approaches, including open data architectures, Cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure, platform, or data as a service

-3+ years of experience with the enterprise analytic model life cycle, including data acquisition, cleansing and classification, statistical analysis, and visualization

-1+ years of experience with large legacy systems modernization that involve large stakeholder communities with high organizational complexity
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, or CS
 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with analytical modeling and risk analysis organizations or similar entities that support enterprise data operations, including data architecture, data modeling, operational research analysis, predicative analytics, and data governance 

-Experience with analytical technologies used in enterprise reporting, including Tableau, Qlik, Looker, OBIEE, or equivalent

-Experience with EA modeling and visualization tools, including Troux and Metis, IBM Rational System Architect, IBM Rational Software Architect, Mega, Enterprise Elements, iGraphx, or Visio

-Experience with data stewardship operating models, foundational data governance constructs, and master data management, including ETL tools and Oracle, Informatica, or SAP MDM
-Experience with greenfield reference architecture development, including translating legacy requirements into tangible, phased approaches to development
-Knowledge of basic concepts in computer science and data science, including machine learning and artificial intelligence
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance

-MA or MS degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, CS, or equivalent
