Technical Project Manager

Key Role:

Act as a business leader responsible for managing projects throughout the system delivery lifecycle in the health market. Lead and manage software and service engagements and maintain responsibility for successful delivery, client relationships, and contract performance. Maintain responsibility for supporting proposal and business development activities. Apply knowledge of principles of computer and information science to the advancement of life sciences research, regulatory operations, and public health, including using expertise to manage the development of an informatics strategy, technical and business requirements, semantics and harmonization, scientific computing, computational science, and specific data type expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with managing the development of integrated hardware and software systems in the federal government or a commercial entity successfully

-Experience with managing projects using various SDLC models, including CMMI, agile, or spiral development

-Experience with managing large government contracts

-Experience with successful business development, including leading and supporting proposal efforts

-Ability to manage multiple projects, adjust quickly to shifting priorities, solve problems, and deal with a variety of options in complex situations

-Ability to manage teams and mentor and grow people effectively

-Ability to work with client organizations to translate business needs into a technology strategy and solution

-Ability to leverage a technology background, including the successful design and delivery of software systems, IT system assessments, analysis of alternatives, product selection processes, and technology strategy implementations

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the professional services field, including excellent business acumen preferred

-Experience in working for US federal health clients preferred

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and prospective senior government clients

-Possession of excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills preferred

-Project Management Institute Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent preferred

-Professional agile software certifications, including Certified Scrum Master preferred
