Technical Quality and Risk Lead

Key Role:
Work as a team member in a Booz Allen quality organization overseeing the quality program for the entire firm, including participating towards the broader goals of the program as a senior team member. Act as an engineering SME, including applying expertise in the design and development of engineering systems to help ensure that projects are on-track and any risks are identified and properly mitigated.  Provide an independent evaluation of a large portfolio of client delivery projects to comprehend their changing risk posture on an ongoing basis. Maintain responsibility for leading efforts to assess project delivery approaches, considering system outcomes, services, and project deliverables, and reviewing and monitoring a portfolio of technical programs and projects with design and solutioning engineering elements. Provide summary analyses on evolving portfolio risks through meetings and reviews with firm-wide management, program and project managers, senior executives, and market leads and create a culture of quality consciousness that strives to continually learn and improve. Maintain responsibility for risk and quality management coaching and mentoring of project staff, personnel supervision, goal development and guidance of direct reports, recruiting and hiring recommendations, and working sessions to continuously improve quality and risk review processes or quality initiatives.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-15+ years of experience with technical work, including engineering and science or systems design and development projects
-Experience with technical quality or risk management
-Experience in interfacing with technical and management personnel at all levels
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree or 5 years of experience with hardware and software system design
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with industry quality standards and certifications, including ISO or CMMI a plus
-Ability to think independently and make decisions
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent analytical skills
-MA or MS degree in a technical field a plus
-PMP and related certifications
-Technical certifications
