Systems Engineering Process Review Lead Engineer

Key Role:

Play a key role as a team member in the Booz Allen corporate quality organization (CQO) overseeing the entire quality program for the firm. Perform as an senior SME and independent reviewer of the firm's progress in planning, executing, and managing risk on systems engineering programs across the enterprise. Participate broadly towards the goals of the program and perform specific duties, including participating in the examination of client-facing systems, services, and project deliverables. Maintain responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and monitoring a portfolio of technical programs and projects, including systems or software and engineering work. Provide summary analyses regarding the organization’s condition and evolving portfolio risks, including reviewing organizational reports, participating on and leading onsite assessments and interviewing both senior internal and client leadership, through meetings and reviews with firm-wide management, program or project managers, senior executives, and market leads. Prepare communications for management, including informing them on organizational technical risk and quality posture across the institution’s portfolio of systems, suppliers, programs and projects and assist with creating a culture of quality consciousness that strives to continually learn and improve. Perform additional duties, including risk and quality management instructional development and delivery, personnel supervision, goal development and guidance to staff, making recruiting and hiring recommendations, and running working sessions to continuously improve quality and risk review processes.

Basic Qualifications:

-15 years of experience with working in engineering and science or systems and software engineering or development

-Experience in the full systems engineering life cycle including identifying, planning for and managing risk

-Experience with technical quality or risk management

-Experience in interfacing with technical and management personnel at all levels

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree or 20+ years of experience with working in an engineering and science role in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with industry quality standards and certifications, including ISO or CMMI

-Possession of excellent analytical, independent thinking, and decision-making skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree

-PMP and other relevant certifications
