Technical Support Engineer

The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates for a Technical Support Engineer in the Charleston, SC area. 

The Charleston Digital Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. The Technical Support Engineer will work on a team that provides 24x7 support for all IT systems across the Veterans Benefits Administration. In addition this position will provide technical expertise during incident triage events, participate in the development of process and procedure improvements across a broad range of VA systems and processes, and conduct training exercises intended to improve processes and reduce overall downtime for systems. Given the broad range of potential support scenarios, breadth of IT knowledge is of greater need than depth in any one discipline.

What You Need:

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Ability to exhibit problem solving skills

-2+ years of experience with IT Systems Administration and Support

-BA or BS degree

What Would be Nice:

-2+ years of experience with server monitoring and APM tools for predictive analysis and troubleshooting

-Experience with supporting JBoss and Java applications

-Experience with supporting Web analytics applications

-Experience with Fiddler and Wireshark

-Experience with supporting load balancers

-Experience in performing data analytics
