Technical Writer, Mid

Key Role:

Create, develop, plan, write, and edit documentation. Provide configuration management support to the Software Support Activity (SSA) regarding integration, operational validation, and acceptance documentation for the SSEE family of systems. Coordinate with other organizations in the implementation and maintenance of the production's CM Control Plan. Oversee the prime contractor's software CM program and processes. Conduct status audits of the prime contractor's Production Configuration Control on behalf of the program office. Maintain customer specifications files, review customer data, and translate customer language into standard procedures and product flow. Provide status and support to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead and attend meetings and reviews. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with providing technical writing support to US Navy projects or programs, including developing a variety of products

-Experience with the SSEE family of systems software baselines and baseline delivery, including configuration management and media production

-Ability to coordinate delivery schedules, including tracking maintenance and support for afloat and ashore software builds

-Active TS/SCI clearance required

-AA or AS degree or 3+ years of experience with technical writing or baseline management for the SSEE family of systems

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Office products, including using Visio for the development of documentation and drawings

-Knowledge of scheduling lab assets to support test events and baseline development

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
