Technology Transition Analyst

The Challenge:

You know the secret to a successful project is tracking the balance between resources and performance as well as transition to use. You can look at metrics, identify risk indicators, and plan changes to keep the project within budget and on time while achieving goals successfully. What if you could use those project analysis skills to make a difference in homeland security? We have an opportunity for a technology transition program analyst to help us streamline access to the expertise of the nation's colleges and universities and address pressing homeland security needs.

On our team, you'll conduct market research on key technology areas to support situational awareness and develop reports on market size, growth, competitors, and the corresponding business models typical of the technology area. You'll collect information on projects, synthesize data, and develop reports and briefings to communicate findings. Track technical performance- and business-focused milestones in conjunction with the financial analyst to identify challenges and opportunities. Prepare annual transition reports for supported programs. Track milestones, commitments, obligations, and expenditures for contracts. Analyze the development and drafting of statements of work and other acquisition documents for contracts and solicitations. Coordinate responses for financial reports required by the office of the CFO.

To do this work you will be using tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, or Tableau, as appropriate for the task. You'll have daily interactions with the client and stakeholders. The real power of project analysis comes from communication, so you’ll create reports ranging from status updates, risk analyses, critical path analyses, to strategies and strategic plans. You'll make experience-based recommendations for improvement to project leadership. You’ll be working in a team environment in client spaces, so you'll share your expertise with other colleagues and analysts through leadership and mentoring.

Empower change with us.
