Telecommunications Engineer

Key Role:

Research and develop technologies and systems involving data networks, traditional circuit-switched networks, including wireless systems, and access technologies. Perform engineering services to enable all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, sustainment of existing networks, and identification and correction of complex network issues. Plan, design, implement and maintain the data and voice telecommunications systems. Perform a variety of engineering studies and analysis, and recommend hardware and software improvements to overall network design. Study traffic to determine optimal system configurations. Connect organization to internal and external customers, and work on long-range programs and objectives. Provide advice to the organization in area of expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience in Network Communications

-Experience with TCP/IP, High Speed Digital Switching, WANs and CANs, Optical network technologies, SDH or SONET, GSM and LTE

-Experience with managing and provisioning network resources, modeling of network traffic and performance

-Knowledge of the following: HP OPEN VIEW, NETVIZ or equivalent product, OPNET, WIRE SHARK or equivalent product

-Knowledge of protocols used for the completion of transport and services, including network operations

-Knowledge of ICS or SCADA and deployment or administration of telecommunications, and networks supporting ICS or SCADA

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree in Network Engineering or Telecommunications

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with international design, operations and server administration
