Test and Evaluation Engineer

Key Role:

Work as a Test and Evaluation (T&E) professional to provide support for directed energy clients in a leadership position for providing the T&E functional capability across a large contract portfolio. Maintain responsibility for assisting with the management of both prime contractor and government Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities, including reporting of project or program status to senior management within the program office organization. Be well-versed in acquisition T&E management and in the technical discipline of T&E engineering from the client perspective. Leverage knowledge of test planning processes and coordinate multiple layers and levels of review or comment consolidation, while being vigilant of the program schedule. Leverage familiarity with operational testing, OPTEVFOR, AFOTEC, and DOT&E. Adapt to T&E in an early project environment and lead a large contractor team for potential ACAT-I test programs.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in a technical role 
-7+ years of experience with management
-Experience in working with prime contractors and with NAVSEA T&E  
-Knowledge of directed energy systems, COMOPTEVFOR, and ship related developmental and operational testing

-Ability to work independently and drive a task to completion from a defined set of client deliverable requirements
-Ability to innovate in the face of broadly defined client requirements with little prior data or experience provided by the client

-Ability to provide management and leadership of a diverse group of personnel within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment 

-Ability to effectively interface with and communicate subject matter expertise to both technical and non-technical personnel alike, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and interface with senior management to convey issues and status
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-DAWIA or ITEA Certification in Program Management and Test and Evaluation preferred
