Test Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Provide analytical expertise and hands-on experience with working as a tester on a complex custom coded Web-based software application and other tools, including SharePoint, ServiceNow, and COTS tools. Share expertise in a variety of software QA concepts, practices, and procedures. Participate in the development and maintenance of test cases, test approaches, and test plans, conduct manual functional testing, regression testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing, and report issues found during the test life cycle. Create test cases which verify approved requirements for assigned modules and document results. Assist with software application troubleshooting and technical diagnosis. Identify changes in the support of continuous improvement of the current test process.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with system testing methodologies and the system or software development life cycle (SDLC)

-Experience with developing and executing test plans, procedures, and scenarios for unit, process, function, system integration, and acceptance testing and analyzing testing results

-Experience in working closely with development or requirements team to coordinate and test applications

-Experience with documenting complex workflow and testing procedures

-Experience with performing thorough analysis of software requirement documentation to ensure completeness and testability of requirements

-HS diploma or GED

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with testing micro service-based Web applications

-Experience with writing test scripts

-Experience with writing automated user interface tests, including Selenium, TestComplete, and Watir

-Experience with testing for accessibility in accordance with W3C, WCAG 2.0, and Section 508 standards

-Experience with working in an environment that follows a software life cycle development process

-Experience with Selenium or another automated test development tools compatible with a J2EE-Web architecture

-Knowledge of software applications built on a J2EE-Web architecture on a source code level

-Knowledge of software engineering practices

-Ability to decipher requirements and test scope when documentation is unavailable

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-BA or BS degree in Information Systems or CS preferred
