Test Engineer

Key Role:

Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new or modified products or product components and investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups while guiding and directing junior personnel on the set-up and performance of tests. Liaise with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items. Analyze and apply testing procedures to parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors. Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs, plan, conduct, and supervise assignments under general supervision, review progress, and evaluate results. Plan and assign personnel to given projects or tasks and recommend changes in procedures. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions and review progress with management.


Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with testing and evaluating software for large, complex government systems, including working in a fast-paced distributed operations environment

-Knowledge of the systems development life cycle (SDLC), risk management assessment, and NSIS standards

-Ability to write and execute test scripts, run manual and automated tests, provide objective feedback to software development project teams, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BA or BS degree
