Tester, Mid

Key Role:

Perform as a Tester to design and complete end-to-end testing, document test plans, test cases, and test scripts document and track bugs, produce testing metrics for sprints and releases, and maintain quality assurance for all component aspects of the system. Analyze the functional, non-functional, and technical aspects of the application and determine the appropriate testing approach for each sprint or release. Maintain traceability between tests and bugs to user stories and acceptance criteria. Perform end-to-end, functional, regression, accessibility/508, smoke-testing, and other appropriate types of testing for each user story and release, and operate in a Scrum Agile team and interface with software developers, analyst, and government product Owner to ensure acceptance criteria are testable and clear. Document test plans, test cases, and test scripts in JIR and confluence for each sprint and release. Document software defects, mange them through to resolution, and perform close out through JIRA and confluence tools. Analyze and assist with production support and user requests, including working with developers and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team to test fixes, and participate in sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives to ensure high quality standards are met.  

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in working with Scrum and Agile methodology in an iterative development environment, including authoring test plans, test cases, and test scripts 

-3+ years of experience in performing functional, regression, and other appropriate testing methods on complex business systems 

-Ability to juggle competing priorities, multi-task, and continue to meet 2 weeks sprint deadlines 

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence, for Agile traceability and test documentation 

-Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel 

-Experience with grants management or grants management systems or similarly complex business systems 

-Experience with Selenium automation testing a plus 

-Experience with WAVE or JAWS accessibility tools a plus 

-Certification in intelligence community, Agile, or equivalent training a plus
